So much is going on at the same exact moment right now that it is extremely difficult to set ones mind to any one particular issue or situation in order to come to a full understanding of what the %$@& is going on. The fact that social media/networking is spreading news and information (both true and false, mind you) helps but also doesn't help. The one thing I do know is that people are in for a rude awakening pretty soon in the world but especially in the United States of 'merica...
"Black Lives Matter" VS "All Lives Matter"
There's no need for me to explain what "Black Lives Matter" is all about OR what "All Lives Matter" is all about. Any people with brains that are reading this will already know what's up and those reading without brains just don't matter. Speaking to the ignorant is usually just a waste of time and energy so why even bother addressing them, you know?
When "Black Lives Matter" first started spreading across the world, there was a sudden need for people to combat THAT statement with "All Lives Matter", (as if people ever even thought to say that BEFORE people started saying "black lives matter"). No, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with saying that because it is 100% true that ALL lives matter. The problem is that it's the black lives that a large number of people in society don't seem to believe that "all lives matter" and specifically feel that black lives do NOT matter.
Nobody should ever feel that their life does not matter in this world but it seems that so many people just don't feel that way and they do not hesitate to let that feeling be known. Hateful, despicable people that MUST radiate their hate upon anybody and everybody for whatever senseless reason. Can't help but pity people like that, with so much hate in their hearts it just can't be pleasant to live life. But screw'em, the easily solution to that is to grow the heck up and move along.
People are failing to see the reason why certain people would like to specify and focus on "black lives matter" vs "all", which is no surprise really. I'm not saying that ALL of those people are unable to appreciate the need for "black lives" to be the focus of attention (at the moment especially) for any reasons that are wrong or evil or hateful or anything like that. As I said, all lives DO matter... But... these people (usually white) just have a hard time seeing that the lives that are most at risk and under threat in this country are black.
I see a lot of posts put up on facebook that show news stories of white kids or white men/women who've been murdered by "thugs" and the people that posts these memes say things like "where was the media outrage" or "where was Al Sharpton for this?" and "you didn't see white people rioting over this murder!". In the majority (if not ALL) of those cases though, the murderers WERE sought after, found, arrested, charged, convicted and are either currently serving life sentences (or death row) or are currently standing trial and unlikely to walk away. That right there is called justice. When lives are taken and nobody is held accountable and law enforcement publicly shows that they do not care enough to even look for a killer or the D.A. decides to NOT produce a case to convict, but instead lists reasons to a jury WHY the deceased is deceased and why he deserved it... THAT is the difference and THAT is the reality of the current situation in America.
People then start asking "well what about black on black murders?", which YES, it is kind of a legit point to make, HOWEVER, these are also cases where the black "suspect/criminal" WILL be hunted and either arrested or beaten or sadly, possibly murdered and the general public will see absolutely nothing wrong with this. Just another day in the criminal justice system, right?
I just feel like we have to take a step back and look at things for how they are. Stop trying so hard to deny the truths of society or cover up the obvious WRONG being said and done day in and day out. Stop seeing "black lives matter" as people saying "white lives don't matter" because that is NOT what it's saying at all. Yes, SOME are saying that but if you look at the history of this country and look at how things still are today in many people's eyes and hearts, you should be able to understand why many black people would feel that type of "hate" towards white people. It isn't because we are white, it's because of what has been done to THEM by people who were similar to US..
When America is "attacked" by Islamic "terrorists", don't people scream with pride how much they hate Muslims and that they should all die and blah blah blah? I can't tell you how many of my Muslim friends were physically and verbally attacked by jackasses in the guise of patriotism! So if white Americans are allowed to hate ALL Muslims because of the actions and despicable acts of a small minority of them, why would you think it is wrong for a black man, woman, or child to hate the faces of a whole race of people who share the same skin color as those who've committed such disgusting and horrible acts against them and their ancestors? On top of which, people flat out don't seem to CARE about the suffering!??
You can't expect a people that have been dished nothing but hatred and disrespect to be loving and respectful toward those who dished it out, and that is one of many things that people are not understanding. Others understand it but like I said, just don't care. They were apparently raised to hate and hating is all they live to do. Racism is not only alive but it's doing a Rocky Balboa training montage, it's so full of life... Denying that fact is absurd and down right pathetic.
With all of this being said, I wish everybody the best and even though hope is on life support in my opinion, I still hope that we can all come together one day soon and finally get past this shit that's got us on the verge of all out war, where people like myself end up slaughtered.
It's on all of us to make the change that will make the difference, and you know what? it's as simple as having some respect and NOTHING more. You do not have to love people, but there is absolutely no reason why you can't be a decent human being enough to respect them. This goes like, quadruple for you religious folk out there that preach and preach Jesus this and Jesus that. Put your crucifix where your mouth is and start living according to what Jesus taught, and supposedly he didn't discriminate or hate. So why do/should you?
Until next blog, stay positive my friends, no matter how much negativity is trying to push you down, keep, moving, FORWARD!
Sincerely...
Me
